Tender designs for the Boss Emotion Club tender at the London Excel Formula E Grand Prix.
Such a fun and challenging project to work on. The brief was to come up with an overall fitout concept for the venue that related for FE's identity for the event and its local area.
Our overarching concept was to break this large (70x80mtr) area and divide it into 6 visually distinct zones - Docklands, Wetlands, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, Olympic Park and the Central Zone. I had worked with an interior designer to take the structural elements that I had envisioned for elements that would appear in each aera - bars, dividers, planters, buffets etc and did an amazing job treating them with materials, finishes and complimentary items that we felt encapsulated that area of London. Each area also had its own landmark in the shape of a lattice formed monument From here we would use recycled or sustainable materials along with specific foliage that had sound proofing, air purifying qualities. The central area took its own design from FE's identity and was the centre pull the entire area together into a central position dominated by the large crane, rending guests of the venues location and history.
The furniture is just chucked in any old layout either - the venue had to accommodate 1500pax with specific numbers of seating arranged together for VIPs and group bookings as well as a balance in quantities of each type of furniture.
An absolutely goliath event hospitality design to work on - a lot of hard work and fun. Concept to completion in 3 weeks. The level runs at a smooth 60fps.
